CERA will be holding community meetings to provide information about the 17 August 2012 zoning decision.
Community meetings – July 2012
CERA invited Port Hills residents, whose properties were rezoned on Friday 29 June 2012, to a community meeting in their area during early July. Representatives from CERA, Christchurch City Council, EQC and insurance companies were present at these meetings to answer questions.
Community meetings – February and March 2012
CERA arranged community meetings to provide information to owners of properties in the Port Hills area that are zoned white.
The meetings were an opportunity for Port Hills residents to gain more information about specific geotechnical issues from experts with local knowledge of the area covered by each meeting to answer any questions residents had.
Presentations from September 2011 community meetings
These presentations were given at the residents meetings Wednesday 7 to Saturday 10 September 2011 by Dr Jan Kupec and the team of geologists who have been working in the port hills area since 22 February 2011.
They are comprehensive explanations of the issues for residents including rockfall, land movement and life risk.
