What does the hub do?

The Kaiapoi Earthquake Hub operates out of the Kaiapoi Service Centre at 24 Sewell Street - the blue building in front of the old hub.

The service is for all earthquake affected residents and provides information, assistance, updates and official agency and community organisation material.

Who is based at the hub?

Through the hub residents can connect with:

  • The Waimakariri District Council
  • Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Authority (CERA)
  • The Earthquake Commission (EQC)
  • Waimakariri Earthquake Support Service (WESS)
  • Local insurance companies and banks
  • Canterbury Earthquake Temporary Accommodation Service (CETAS)
  • Fletcher EQR
  • The Tenants' Protection Association
  • Free professional financial advice

What are the opening hours?

The hub is open Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm.
